Awesome job guys on some strong and decisive war wins!  The last two against clans with more wins than us.  Beating an experienced war clan with 70 wins, nice!!

Unfortunately some were kicked for not participating in war or having poor donations or both.  Here's the kick report:

EggBoyJr - kicked for not using either attack in war and not donating.  In the past he has been a strong attacker and has frequently gotten 6 stars.  I like you Egg but this is not being a good clanny.  We allowed him back into the clan but Egg you need to start donating and be sure to use both attacks from now on.

enemy killer89 - enemy is an active attacker outside of war and is frequently requesting troops.  that's the good news.  the bad news is that he requests and ignores other open requests below his and does not donate to them.  i personally observed many occasions of this.  also he did attack but got 0 combined stars in the last two wars.  I found out that he's LG4LxRadiation's younger brother.  So enemy we'll give you another chance but don't let us down this time.  Be a good clan mate.

Good news is that we spanked this clan Light Warriors who had 70 War Wins!  I expected them to put up more of a fight but once we put a nice lead they were demoralized and gave up.

DB2 Donations Report 12/7

The Bad

Trust Me :) had his town hall outside his walls on his war base.  Therefore he gave up two stars easily instead of only one.  Last war we lost by one star.  Every star counts and we should act that way every war.  So everyone should have their town hall well-protected inside their walls.

Chief Awesome used mass barbs with wizards in war attack.  Was somewhat successful on his first attack but failed on his second attack.  Barbs with wizards is not a war army composition.  Giants wizards is much stronger.  Also your town hall is on edge and most of your traps are in the center where your th should be.  You don't have to re-arm traps on war base so why put them where they won't get triggered?  That combined with barbs war attack is not so awesome.  Then you leave and go to db1.  Sorry you didn't graduate yet.  You will get massacred in wars there.  Start getting consistent 6 stars in DB2 first.  You're being kicked from db1.

wkh dropped giants before killing enemy cc wizards.  it didn't work for you first war attack.  it still doesn't work for your second war attack.  don't do it again.

vedant dropped giants before killing enemy cc wizards.  that still doesn't work.  don't do it again.

zufol dropped giants before killing enemy cc wizards.  that still doesn't work.  don't do it again.

Gavin R. used two lightning spells to fight the enemy cc.  Better to make two healing spells for your giants/wizards and use 20 archers to fight the enemy cc troops.  You could have easily gotten two stars if you did that.  Instead your giants all died before they even penetrated the walls due to giant bomb and wiz tower.  

I noticed several of our lower levels with lvl 2 spell factories are mixing spells, 1 lightning with 1 healing with poor results.  I would recommend just making 2 healing spells and using it for your giants.  Zapping mortars or wiz towers with one lightning spell doesn't destroy the buildings therefore it doesn't help much.  And lightning doesn't kill high level cc wizards.  So that's why I go with healing over lightning.  Make 20 to 30 archers to fight the enemy cc troops.

The Ugly

mvp (#28/30) was kicked for using all giants in his war attack (nothing else).  before he attacked we saw his army comp and told him not to do that because the enemy cc troops would kill all his giants.  he did anyway.  max wizards came out of the cc and made quick work of all 23 of his giants.  he got 8%.  after he failed we mentioned that we told him not to and he had a smart remark.  he was promptly kicked.  his friend in need was way low: 633, nice and tidy: 578.    

trev015 (#29/30)14 minutes later trev015 did the same thing as mvp.  we issued a warning in chat that mvp was kicked for doing that.  trev015 got 0 stars on both attacks: 3% and 36%.  trev you need to level up your troops and improve if you want to participate in wars.  right now you're in jeopardy.  review replays of some of the 3 star war attacks and copy those tactics.

marwan was kicked for name calling and arguing with a co.  he was constantly requesting wizards for his barch farming but would never make wizards himself or donate any even though his barracks could.  also had a bad donation ratio.

DB2 War Analysis vs. Elite Hunters

Lord G.I. (1) vs Duque Juice (2) - 1 Star, tough base but golem and archer queen went around so failed to get town hall and second star

Gard (3) vs SomaKaiba (6) - 2 Stars, for mass dragons 3 lightning spells should be directly centered on air defense.  with all 3 air defenses still up it is difficult to earn more than 2 stars.  other than spell placement was a good attack.  

Kev 2 (37) vs Sertgio (33) - 3 Stars, lured and killed cc troops and executed a good giants/healer attack.

Spetsnaz321 (6) vs Arthas (8) - 2 Stars, barely got the 50%, giants/healer attack on a th8 is difficult to get more than 2 stars if the base has a lot of compartments.

Sky (13) vs Silvia (10) - 2 Stars, 99% well executed mass dragons with 3 lightning spells.  just missed one builder hut.  next time can start one dragon or BK at the corner on the approach.

Scorpion King (28) vs Quero27 (31) - 1 Star, mass giants attack, misplaced 2nd heal spell, otherwise attack was good and may have been 3 stars.

Lloyd (7) vs Lord Luigi (9) - 1 Star, Mass dragons with balloons.  Good army comp but just needed better army placement & spell placement and timing.  Wait to drop spells until army is under heavy fire.  Also since dragons have higher hp, it's better to let them take initial attack and let balloons follow to take out defenses.

I.Sky84.I (32) vs King Cobra (32)  - 0 Stars, 48% needed stronger army comp.  tough to win with barch in war.

KingSlim23 (38) vs xXDiegoXx (38) - 3 Stars, did good killing valk and cc troops before dropping giants.  make a circle with troops around valk instead of dropping all troops together.  Otherwise valk kills them all in one swing and you use more troops.  Good army to complete the job.

Clash The Queen (8) vs Arthas (8) - 1 Star, this base was already 2 starred by Spets. So Queen wasted 11 dragons just to get 1 new star when there were plenty of other bases that hadn't been attacked yet.  We only attack bases that already have stars at the end of the war when all bases have already been attacked or if there are no other bases you can get more stars on.

Zuniga7 (20) vs Daniel's (28) - 1 Star, 2 lightning spells didn't destroy any buildings.  Would have been better to use 2 healing spells for giants.  Also if you attack from th side you will probably get two stars instead of 1.  But difficult to get 3 stars with that army comp and without healers or healing spells.

Marwan (40) vs Coolsioux (45) - 3 Stars, army comp was fine for that base.  could have had better heal spell placement and put one archer in corner to begin with, but did good attacking clan castle first and getting the triple.

Kev 2 (37) vs Tenito007 (34) - 3 Stars, giants/healer good army comp and lured and killed clan castle first.  textbook attack.

Trev015 (43) vs Alain (44) - 0 Stars, 12% due to an all barbs army.  one of the weakest possible armies is not appropriate for war.  the single valk in cc killed most of them.  if you're not sure of army to use, just ask a co.

Marwan (40) vs akki (23) - 1 Star, this was an obvious town hall snipe way above your town hall level.  there were plenty of lower bases available to attack to earn 3 stars.  i spoke with you in game chat and you have been warned.  The war is close and victory is not guaranteed.  Next time you go for loot instead of trying to get 3 stars you will be kicked.  Everyone is trying their best to get three stars and you are trying to get gold which you won't even get if we lose.  Boo.

Zufol (31) vs 007 (36) - 0 Stars, Giants/healer attack.  Good army comp but did not kill clan castle troops before dropping giants.  So all giants went bye bye and attack had no chance at that point.

10/27 Kick Report

Awesome job in War vs Avengers Elite!  It was a nail-biter with several lead changes which came down to the wire but we pulled out the victory through superior attacking and defending even though we used less attacks than the enemy.

We did have a few people that were kicked or left after or during war.  Here's an account:

Sir Francis - left during war prep day and did not return even after invite was sent.  Was seen camping in a Request and Leave clan and then was clanless following that.  Second time he left the clan.  Banned for leaving during war.  The penalty for that should be death!

Akhil - was kicked from DB2 for only using 1 war attack and attacking the lowest available base (a th6) when he was a th9.  He did this in the first half of the war.  Attack your own town hall level in war, or at most one level below.  Common sense!

War Wins

Congrats guys on another decisive war win; this time against Pekka Eaters, a clan with 38 war wins!  They had more war wins, more town hall 10s, more town hall 9s but we had more heart and smashed them.  98.88% participation didn't hurt either with 89/90 attacks used.  Awesome!

Also a big congrats to our new feeder clan Dragonblood 2 that was started last week! They have already posted their first war win against a clan with 15 war wins.  And winning by a 100 star lead, wow!  Next war is this Wednesday.

Hey guys, there's a new War Start Time now.  Wars start 2 hours earlier to accommodate our UK clan mates.  So now prep day starts Saturdays @ 1pm PT, 4pm ET and 9pm UK time!

Farming, Army Comps & Attack Strategies

Hey guys, a few people have requested that I write an article on farming to explain what the best way to farm is to get resources as quickly as possible.  My number one piece of advice to advance quickly in this game is to get as many builders as you can and keep them and your lab busy at all times.  No sleeping builders!  In order to do that you have to farm.  Just relying on your collectors is not good enough.  And if you only want to check in and collect and grow your village each day then go play FarmVille instead.  This game is called Clash of Clans for a reason.  It's about conflict and war and raiding and interacting with your clan.  When my storages are full and my builders are all busy I'm a little sad because at that point it's pointless to raid.  It's kind of a stretch but it's almost a blessing to get raided because then it means  I get to raid some more.  I've never been too upset when I get raided for 400k and 2,000 de because I know that I can raid that back and then some.  So my motto is don't worry about what you lose.  Do your best to protect your loot but someone bigger and stronger than you can always beat up on you in this game.  Just raid more than you lose and you'll still come out ahead.  

For me personally at TH7 and TH8 I used Barch and BAM with much success in Silver and Gold league.  Once my elixir was full I would make more expensive armies to raid DE and just experiment with different army compositions.  But you can get 500 to 1000 de per raid with barch and bam too, especially if you throw some wall breakers and a healing spell into the mix.  Sometimes goblins help too.

Trophy Range

For TH7 I had plenty of good 300k+ raids in Silver 2 around 1000 to 1200 trophies.

For TH8 I had plenty of 400k+ raids in Silver 1 around 1200 to 1300 trophies.

For TH9 I plan to farm in Gold 3 around 1500 trophies but we'll see.
For DE, push trophies as high as you can.  The higher you go the more DE you'll find.  Also look for TH9 and TH10s with full max drills as that will score you a ton of DE without blowing your spells and whole army.

If loot is not good I usually drop or raise my trophies until it is.  There are plenty of excellent and comprehensive farming guides out there so no need to re-invent the wheel.  Check out the following links for detailed advice on army compositions and farming tips for each army type.  Happy Clashing!
