Farming, Army Comps & Attack Strategies

Hey guys, a few people have requested that I write an article on farming to explain what the best way to farm is to get resources as quickly as possible.  My number one piece of advice to advance quickly in this game is to get as many builders as you can and keep them and your lab busy at all times.  No sleeping builders!  In order to do that you have to farm.  Just relying on your collectors is not good enough.  And if you only want to check in and collect and grow your village each day then go play FarmVille instead.  This game is called Clash of Clans for a reason.  It's about conflict and war and raiding and interacting with your clan.  When my storages are full and my builders are all busy I'm a little sad because at that point it's pointless to raid.  It's kind of a stretch but it's almost a blessing to get raided because then it means  I get to raid some more.  I've never been too upset when I get raided for 400k and 2,000 de because I know that I can raid that back and then some.  So my motto is don't worry about what you lose.  Do your best to protect your loot but someone bigger and stronger than you can always beat up on you in this game.  Just raid more than you lose and you'll still come out ahead.  

For me personally at TH7 and TH8 I used Barch and BAM with much success in Silver and Gold league.  Once my elixir was full I would make more expensive armies to raid DE and just experiment with different army compositions.  But you can get 500 to 1000 de per raid with barch and bam too, especially if you throw some wall breakers and a healing spell into the mix.  Sometimes goblins help too.

Trophy Range

For TH7 I had plenty of good 300k+ raids in Silver 2 around 1000 to 1200 trophies.

For TH8 I had plenty of 400k+ raids in Silver 1 around 1200 to 1300 trophies.

For TH9 I plan to farm in Gold 3 around 1500 trophies but we'll see.
For DE, push trophies as high as you can.  The higher you go the more DE you'll find.  Also look for TH9 and TH10s with full max drills as that will score you a ton of DE without blowing your spells and whole army.
